Zahara’s sisters go on shopping spree using ailing singer’s bank cards

South African musician Zahara, is critically fighting for her life in hospital and is in dire need of financial assistance to cover her medical bills but that did not stop her sisters from going on a shopping spree using her bank cards.

Zahara and fiancé Mpho Xaba have been pleading for financial assistance to cover her escalating medical bill. According to reports, Xaba, who is traditionally married to the award-winning singer, is said to have sent the sisters packing back to the Eastern Cape after the incident.

A source said that the two sisters Lumka and Bandezwa Mkutukana, who were occupying Zahara and Xaba’s house in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg got hold of Zahara’s bank card, and went to town, becoming big spenders, shopping and swiping at every given chance.

“The two sisters went shopping while their sister lay in a hospital bed fighting for her life. They went to Small Street, downtown Jozi where they bought all the fake brands from Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Diesel and others. For them, shopping at those dingy shops made them feel like they were shopping in Dubai, Paris or New York. They got some cheap make-up too. Their bags were full of fake material,” said a close source to the siblings.

Zahara’s sisters, Lumka and Bandezwa, refused to comment about their shenanigans. “Ask your source bhuti,” Lumka said before hanging up. Zahara’s manager Oyama Dyosiba said,

“I am shocked that you know about this, unfortunately, I cannot comment on the matter.’
