Warren Park Accident Victims Identified

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has revealed the names of victims who died in an accident at Warren Park traffic lights last Friday.

Six deaths were initially reported on Saturday but a statement released on Wednesday, police indicated the death toll has now risen to eight.

Additionally, police have also released the names of individuals who were killed in a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on the 18th of December 2023 at the 43-kilometre peg along Harare-Mukumbura Road. In this incident, nine people lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries.

The police have managed to identify only 6 of the victims while three other victims are awaiting DNA results.

The victims of the Harare-Mukumbura Road accident as identified by their next of kin are:

Loice Kapinga (24), a female adult of Chinhango Street, Manera, Banket,
Shadreck Chigora (18), a male adult of Machiringe Primary School, Mary Mount, Rushinga,
George Maforo (36), a male adult of Chinhango Street,Manera, Banket,
Tanyaradzwa Gomo (5), a female juvenile of Kaunda Street Banket,
Angela Kuhondo (6), a female juvenile of 24 Chinhango Street, Manera, Banket,
Nyasha Faisoni (21), a female adult of Nduku Village, Mazowe.

Names of Warren Park Robots Accident Victims

Meanwhile, the police have released the names of seven individuals involved in the accident along Harare-Bulawayo Road, near the National Museum of African Liberation, Harare, where eight people lost their lives, and eight others sustained injuries. The identity of the remaining victim is yet to be established.

The victims of the Warren Park robot accident as identified by their next of kin are:
