Bride Dies 5 Days After Wedding
Just five days after her wedding unfolded like a dream – laughter echoing through opulent halls, love radiating in every stolen glance – A young South African lady simply known as Pretty Matimba Mavundla’s perished in a gory accident.
Matimba, known for her infectious smile and unwavering kindness, had painted her life with a rich tapestry of dreams and ambitions.
On December 19th, Philip announced on his Facebook account that he had just married Pretty. He shared beautiful wedding pictures of themselves.

They were long-time lovers, having known each other since they were kids.
However, barely a week after their enchanting beautiful fairytale wedding. Pretty died in a tragic car accident in Mpumalanga. Philip announced the sad news on his Facebook account.

Dear Friends and Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart and deepest sorrow that I announce the passing of my wife, PRETTY MATIMBA MAVUNDLA, who tragically lost her life in an accident that occurred in Mpumalanga on the 24th of December 2023.
Let us honour the memory of Pretty by cherishing the beauty she brought into our lives, rather than mourning her loss. May her kindness and the inspiration she shared with us be a lasting reminder of a life well-lived.
The memorial or funeral arrangements will be communicated to everyone as soon as the Family has finalized their decision.”
