Sadio Mane’s wife speaks on arranged marriage

Sadio Mane’s recent marriage to Aisha Tamba has sparked interest, prompting Aisha herself to break her silence and share her thoughts on the union.

Speaking to a publication through a relative, the 18-year-old expressed her determination to remain humble and unaffected by her husband’s fame and fortune.

Aisha entered into an Islamic arranged marriage with the 31-year-old former Liverpool forward on January 7 in Keur Massar, near Dakar, Senegal. The news of the arranged marriage quickly gained attention on social media. Aisha will now transition from living with up to 30 relatives in Dakar to joining Mane in Saudi Arabia, where he plays for Al-Nassr alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Aisha Tamba acknowledged that her life with Sadio Mane would be significantly different, but she emphasized that she feels no pressure to change who she is.

“I am looking forward to my new life and I know that it will be very different. But I do not feel any pressure because Sadio’s fame and money will not change me. This is not what I’m interested in. I will remain a humble person committed to my faith,” Aisha shared through a family member..

Admitting to being unaccustomed to the attention she’s receiving due to her private upbringing, Aisha expressed her gratitude at becoming Mrs. Mane.

“I’m not used to having so much attention on me because we are a very private family. We don’t like to show off and speak about our personal lives. I am a very down to earth person, this is how I was raised, and nothing will be different just because of this marriage. But I’m very honoured to now be Mrs Mane,” Aisha’s relative added.

Aisha’s cousin, Amadou, who resides in the same household with other family members, informed the Mail Online that their interest lies primarily in their Islamic faith rather than the trappings associated with a wealthy footballer. Amadou stated that their happiness over Aisha’s marriage to Mane stems from his humility rather than his wealth.

“As a family, our number one priority is Islam. We are not interested in all the things that people associate with the life of a wealthy footballer. We are very happy that Aisha has married Sadio but it’s because he’s a humble man, not because he is rich and famous,” Amadou explained.
