AKA’s father Tony Forbes believes the true mastermind behind rapper’s murder hasn’t been caught yet

Tony Forbes the father of slain rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes says the real mastermind behind his son’s murder has not been caught.

Tony said this at the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday where five suspects allegedly involved in the murder of his son appeared.

Five men; Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi (30), Lindani Zenzele Ndimande (35), Siyanda Eddie Myeza (21), Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni (36) and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande (29), appeared on charges of conspiracy to commit murder, murder (AKA), murder (Motsoane), unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and five counts of attempted murder.

The case was postponed to 6 March for bail verification and the accused remain in custody.

Speaking to the media, Tony said his gut feeling tells him that the mastermind behind his son’s murder has not been caught.

AKA’s father said if the money that was paid to the mastermind who is already in custody came through the banking system, police should be able to pick up the trail.

“Police should be able to pick up the trail, find out where it came from and continue the investigation. Is this the true mastermind? My gut feeling says no, I haven’t done the investigation I’m just speculating,” he said.
