Pearl Thusi misses brother’s funeral

South African actress and media personality Pearl Thusi caused a scene at OR Tambo International Airport on Friday morning as her flight was delayed, resulting in her missing the funeral of her brother.

Witnesses reported seeing Thusi in tears as she tried to make alternate arrangements to attend the funeral service.

The “Queen Sono” star, known for her outspoken nature, was visibly distraught as she pleaded with airline staff to make a plan for her.

However, her efforts were unsuccessful.

According to sources close to the actress, she was rushing to attend the funeral of her brother, whose passing had left her devastated.

As the drama unfolded, airport authorities worked to assist Thusi and other affected passengers.

Pearl Thusi refused to engage with journalists from Scrolla.Africa who approached her for comment.

Lift Airline also declined to comment but stressed its official statement via an SMS update sent to passengers: “LIFT UPDATE – Unfortunately, flight GE201 is delayed. An estimated time of departure will be communicated as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.”
