Though his initial love belonged to soccer, lacking family support forced him to pursue another path.

The turning point came in his 10th-grade year when he opted for drama instead of science, solidifying his artistic calling.

Finding His Stage: Theater and The Black Door

Kwanda‘s dedication to acting blossomed in theatre productions. From 2019 to 2021, he honed his craft as a freelancer with Intuba US Development.

He further expanded his experience in 2021 with Brightness Productions, performing a Zulu adaptation of William Shakespeare at the Durban Playhouse.

During this time, he collaborated with talented actors like Sphesihle Mchunu and Sanele Khoza.

In 2022, his perseverance landed him a role on the e.tv drama series “The Black Door.” Here, he portrays Velaphi, a complex character born from a traumatic experience that leads him down a troubled path.
