Malema Rescues Shebeshxt as Doctors Ignored Him for Hours
EFF leader Julius Malema has stepped in to assist rapper Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, who performs under the name Shebeshxt, by covering his medical expenses.
Chauke was hospitalized at Polokwane Provincial Hospital following a car accident that tragically took the life of his nine-year-old daughter.
The incident occurred on the R37 Road near the Smelters Mine in Limpopo on a Saturday night. Tidimalo Chuene, the spokesperson for the transport department in Limpopo, confirmed that the nine-year-old child likely passed away at the crash site.

The crash was reported shortly after 10 pm, and Shebeshxt was treated for severe injuries at the scene before being taken to the hospital.
Shebeshxt Left unattended for hours
A source said Shebeshxt was left unattended for hours on end at the public hospital.
“Shebeshxt does not have medical aid, so they took him to a public hospital, where he was not assisted for some time,” said the source.
“Fearing that he could lose his life, Julius Malema was then called, and he demanded that Shebe be taken to Netcare Pholoso Hospital, a private healthcare facility in Polokwane, to get medical help.”
Malema is said to be handling the rapper’s medical bills, which are running into hundreds of thousands, as he recovers from his injuries.
In videos shared widely on social media platforms, the body of the girl can be seen lying covered next to the Volkswagen Polo, which is damaged on the side.
In another video, the rapper can be seen lying on the ground while emergency medical services’ staff treats his injuries.
Lucky escape
This is the second serious car accident that Shebeshxt has been involved in since the year started.
In January, he was lucky to escape unscathed in an accident that left his new Golf GTI written off.
In videos shared on social media at the time, the Monate hitmaker can be seen removing his belongings from the damaged vehicle.
