In a shocking incident, Mount Darwin self-styled prophet Shephard Maribha in soup after he allegedly sucked 12 men’s privates in the name of exorcism.
Shephard Maribha of Hopi village in Mount Darwin under Chief Nembire was dragged to Bindura regional courts yesterday.
He appeared before magistrate Elisha Singano who remanded him in custody to June 21.
Prosecutor Edward Katsvairo alleged from a period of February to June Maribha lured 12 men whom he claimed were being tormented by evil spirits and wanted to remove the bad spell on them by sucking their privates.
He would suck their privates and show them some stuff from his mouth which he claimed to have removed from their private parts.
His luck ran out when he was reported to the police leading to his arrest.

In another story, CIO Operative, Self-Proclaimed Prophet George Goromondo Faces Charges of Rape.
A Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) operative George Goromondo appeared before Harare magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa on Thursday, facing accusations of raping a woman who had visited his shrine for spiritual assistance.
According to NewsDay, the accused, George Goromondo (26), was given US$200 in bail and is expected back in court on July 8 for the potential assignment of a trial date while the investigations are completed.
According to the claims, the complainant (name omitted for business purposes) went to Goromondo’s shrine in Dzivaresekwa, Harare, last month in an attempt to find spiritual guidance.
According to the complaint, Goromondo told the complainant to come back at around six o’clock with clay soil, rice, a white towel, and a clay pot.
The accused allegedly dismissed other women who were present at the shrine when the complainant returned at the scheduled time.
Then, according to the complaint, he made an anointing syrup and administered it to the victim.
