South African entertainer Thuli Phongolo has been making headlines with her tumultuous relationship with DJ Maphorisa.
The couple’s publicized court case in May last year brought their relationship to light, but Phongolo dropped the charges soon after.
Despite not confirming it publicly, rumors spread in January 2021 that the couple had reconciled.
A source close to them revealed that DJ Maphorisa returned the cars he had taken from Phongolo and supposedly promised to marry her.

However, DJ Maphorisa also performed a special set on DJ Thuli Phongolo’s birthday. Apart from the special set, the rumour mill has that DJ Maphorisa gifted Thuli Phongolo a sleek Mercedes-Benz G63 as a birthday gift.
A few weeks ago, the two again grabbed headlines after they were spotted together. However, despite these rumours, Thuli Phongolo recently opened up about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend. Many were quick to implicate DJ Maphorisa in the mix as Thuli Phongolo’s ex-boyfriend.

She posted to X, formerly Twitter, “When you’re single, but everyone still thinks you’re dating your ex… I hate that mess. Count me out.” The post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on X. Fans quickly flooded her comments section with their two cents.
An X user commented, “Bjanong picture ele where you looked bored next to him.” Another user said, “The cars and apartment will be taken if you keep tweeting this.”
A concerned user asked why Thuli Phongolo allowed DJ Maphorisa to get cosy with her. The user asked, “But Phori is hideous. How did you even allow that guy to kiss you?” However, some users were quick to implicate her rumoured relations over the years into the mix.
