Wife beats husband to death over salary

An enraged wife, Memory Choga (41) has been arrested for allegedly beating her husband to death, Douglas Jeche (45), who was a teacher.

The incident occurred at Jeche Primary School in Sadza, Mashonaland East, where Jeche was employed.

Wife Kills Husband Over Salary

The Herald reports that the trouble began when Douglas transferred his salary from his bank account to his EcoCash wallet. This move was done without Memory’s knowledge. Upon discovering she couldn’t access the funds, Memory became enraged.

“She was furious when she realised the money wasn’t in the bank,” a neighbour said.

When the wife returned home without the salary, her anger escalated. She reportedly assaulted Douglas with a log, causing severe injuries. The brutal attack resulted in multiple wounds all over his body.

“The assault was indiscriminate and relentless,” a witness commented.

Douglas succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack.
