Hillary Makaya’s use of powerful sangoma to get a rich husband backfires as she receives threats

Zimbabweans were abuzz after a traditional healer claimed to have assisted socialite Hillary Makaya in marrying a wealthy man, referred to as “mbinga” in local slang.

Makaya responded to the potentially harmful allegations on her Instagram stories.

The traditional healer, Sekuru Mwale, alleged on Facebook that Makaya had not kept her end of their agreement. Mwale claimed that they had agreed she would share a portion of her lobola money with him, but she had since gone back on their deal and ceased all communication with him.

Mwale now asserts that he has no option but to “punish” Makaya using traditional methods, warning that he has evidence of their past interactions, including alleged WhatsApp messages. His full claim reads:

“Makadii vazukuru mativi mana ndakuuya kuti ndikuudzei pamusoro paHillary Makaya semashoko eyambiro. Kune vanokwanisa ndinoda musvitse shoko iri kwaari sezvo ini akandiblocker. Ndakamubatsira sokubvumirna kwatakaita zvakitika ndinovimba mose munozviziva kuti akazoorwa nemari inosvika $40 000. Zvino dambudziko ravepo ini haachade kundipa mari yangu yatakawirirana uye pose pandaitaura naye haachabtike. Saka izvi ndauya kuti ndikuivisei kuti kana mukaona zvichaitika kwaari muzive chikonzero uye zvisazoita sokuti ndaita utsinye. Ndichakuratidzai pandaitaura naye pose. Kureva kwematare kuvapenyu.”

Hillary Makaya Denies Sangoma’s Claims

In response to the allegations, Hillary Makaya dismissed them, denying that she ever sought the help of a sangoma to find a wealthy husband. During an Instagram Q&A session, Makaya sarcastically remarked that if life were that simple, every woman would have a rich husband.

“I really wish life was that easy, mukadzi wese angadai ane mbinga yake 🥺 Dai vanhu vasirikukwangwaya kunze uko 🤣🤣,” Hillary Makaya nonchalantly responded to the query on whether she had gone to a sangoma/n’anga to get a rich husband.

In another response, she playfully suggested that others visit Sekuru Mwale if they want to get married.

“Endaiwo kun’anga kwacho muroorwewo 😄😄😄,” she quipped.
