Two sangomas in nasty fight over Zanele Mbokazi’s death
Popular Durban sangoma Bhaka “King Bhaka” Nzama has lashed out at fellow renowned inyanga, Dr Khehlelezi, accusing him of being an opportunist who uses public information and claims it as prophecy after Ukhozi FM presenter, Zanele Mbokazi-Nkambule was diagnosed and died from lung cancer recently.
Dr Khehlelezi, whose real name is not mentioned, prophesied that two Ukhozi FM presenters would die this year.

Bhaka said Dr Khehlelezi made the prophecy when it was already public knowledge that Zanele had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Bhaka has urged people to keep their illnesses secret to avoid opportunist prophets who claim to prophesy using already-known information.
Zanele, who battled against lung cancer, died on Monday, 12 August.
Mzansi was divided by Dr Khehlelezi’s prophecy. Some said he was spot on, while others called him an opportunist.
Bhaka said the doctor-patient or inyanga-patient confidentiality is to avoid opportunism.
“It was also meant to avoid those who claim they prophesied from having assurance,” he said.
“Zanele’s family was honest in telling the nation about her condition, not knowing that opportunists would use it to claim they are prophesying,” he added.
Bhaka said everyone knows that cancer is dangerous, but no one is allowed to tell a cancer patient that they are going to die.
“Even doctors, who previously told people how long they would live with cancer, are not allowed to do so because it puts pressure on the patient.
“When the nation was informed that Zanele was ill, everyone was supposed to support her and the family, not spread fake prophecies. When Zanele was discharged from the hospital, she said she had heard about the fake prophecies,” he said.
The traditional healer refuted claims that there’s a problem at Ukhozi FM, leading to the presenters’ death.
He questioned why other presenters at the station are not dying, if there’s a problem the killing of presenters.
Dr Khehlelezi told the publication he doesn’t want to comment on anything that is Bhaka-related.
When Zanele was still alive, she said many people sent her Dr Khehlelezi’s video where he prophesied about her death, but and rejected it.
