A well-endowed woman who had been dancing briskly close to the platform begged Macheso to allow her to accompany him on stage, and that’s when the drama started. Macheso was reluctant at first, but in the end she gave in and let the excited admirer demonstrate her techniques.
The woman opened her performance on stage with Macheso’s hallmark motion, the Borrowdale dance. But when she turned to face the audience and started shaking her behind, much to the audience’s enjoyment, things rapidly got out of control. Macheso, visibly embarrassed, attempted to deflect attention by performing in front of her, obstructing the vision of those in attendance, while the audience erupted in cheers.
While getting her off the stage, Macheso accidentally touched her behind. This brief moment invariably sent social media into a frenzy, with some users joking that Macheso couldn’t resist the temptation, while others believed it was an honest mistake.
In an interview with H-Metro, Alick Macheso finally set the record straight on what happed at Rufaro Stadium. When asked about the incident, Macheso laughed it off saying that he wanted the well-endowed woman to showcase her talent.
“Oh (laughs), it’s part of showbiz, we are used to that and when you see a fan in that mood why not invite her and showcase her talent? Kuratidza zvavo chipo chavo kuvanhu.”

As the reporter attempted to ask him why he blocked her and ended up grabbing her nyash as he attempted to remove her from the stage, Macheso explained that he wanted to ensure the event remained family-friendly but he kept mum on the grabbing incident.
“Ndaida kuti angoti turu, vanhu vofara zvavo but you know it was a family event and ndakazoisa shedhi,” he said.
