Generations:The Legacy’s Mpho Haunted by R500k Debt
MINNIE nearly lost her life on Generations: The Legacy. If she had died, her blood would’ve been on Mpho’s hands.
Mpho asked the well-known Yster to help him burn down his house so he could claim the money from insurance. This act has turned him into a dirty cop overnight. He became desperate for the cash after being beaten to a pulp by Zobo, the mashonisa he borrowed money from.
Mpho had to come up with R500 000 to save his job after a shooting incident in a tavern left a patron injured. The guy threatened to sue him unless he paid R500 000, which he got from Zobo. Zobo demanded interest of 25%, which worked out to R15 000 a week. After he failed to pay it, Zobo panel-beated his face. This then led Mpho to take the drastic measure of burning down his house.
Insurance has finally paid Mpho, and he’s paid Zobo. Instead of being happy to be paid, Zobo has other plans. He saw Mpho hand Yster an envelope and, after some investigations, found out Yster burnt down Mpho’s house. Since Mpho’s a cop, Zobo wants to use him to cover up some of his dirty work. It seems Mpho’s stuck with this monster.
Meanwhile, the war between the Russians and Judges is tiring. It’s completely consumed Tau Mogale, his girlfriend Ayanda, and their arch-rival, Jack Mabaso. Tau’s gone undercover and is working with cops, trying to get information from both camps. This turf war’s been going on for far too long, and it seems there’s no end in sight.
The Russians are threatening to plant bombs on taxis, as the Judges are dominating in that industry, to get what they want. They don’t care how many people will be killed.
