Harare – Barely a week after receiving a brand new Toyota Fortuner from controversial businessman Wicknell Chivhayo, Daisy Mtukudzi, widow of the late music icon Oliver Mtukudzi, was involved in a car accident at the Warren Park roundabout in Harare.
The accident occurred this morning (Thursday), with images shared with ZimEye showing a visibly shaken Daisy standing outside the vehicle. Another passenger, a woman, was seen making a phone call, presumably seeking assistance.
Daisy received the luxury SUV from Chivhayo in a much-publicized gesture of goodwill, which sparked a wave of mixed reactions as it came a few days after Mtukudzi’s daughters Sandra and Selmor went on air to publicize how they were illtreated by their step-mother.

In donating the car to Daisy, Chivhayo expressed his admiration for the Mtukudzi family, stating that the vehicle was a token of appreciation for the legendary musician’s contribution to Zimbabwean culture.
Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear.
