An overzealous fan jumped on the stage and grabbed the HKD boss by the waist before two bouncers swiftly moved in and punched him severally and threw him off.
Many Zimbabweans were concerned about Freeman’s reputation with many suggesting that the reaction was too much.
Freeman was then forced to issue an apology after the incident saying everything happened so fast and there was nothing he could do.
He also said the two men are not part of his entourage citing the event’s promoter as responsible.
Below is the text of his apology.
