Following the sudden departure of veteran guitarist, Obert Mangani, who doubled as manager of his Njanja Express, sungura musician Mark Ngwazi is now pinning hopes on his new appointment for the band’s managerial role.

The later is a notable figure in local showbiz and comes to the sungura ensemble with vast experience.

“Rams will play a key role in guiding our band’s strategic direction, overseeing bookings, events, and stakeholder relations,” said Ngwazi in the post.

The Ngwazi-led Njanja Express was recently hit a heavy blow after veteran guitarist-cum-manager, Mangani, who is also known as Father Ten Years in the industry, left the sungura outfit to promote his personal brand on social media.

Ngwazi’s new manager, Rams, boasts of vast experience in the industry and also has proven management skills and passion for music.

While Mangani’s departure from the band leaves a void, the band also prides itself in other talented guitarists such as Donald Gogo, Wirts Katogo and Titus ‘Tito Lokilo’ Vinyu.
