Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are rumoured to be ending their marriage just days after her provocative appearance at the Grammy Awards stirred public backlash.
Insiders report that the pair, who married in December 2022, have reached a verbal agreement for their separation. As part of the arrangement, Censori, 30, is expected to receive a $5 million settlement. A source close to West, 47, confirmed the split, with formal divorce proceedings anticipated to begin soon.
According to reports, Censori is currently residing at the couple’s $35 million Beverly Park North residence in Los Angeles, while West’s whereabouts are still unknown. Speculation suggests he may return to Tokyo, where he spent a significant portion of last year.
Censori’s attendance at the February 2 Grammy Awards, where she donned a nearly see-through ensemble, is believed to have caused tension in their relationship. Reports suggest West instructed her to remove her fur coat on the red carpet, intending the look to mimic the aesthetic of his Vultures 2 album cover.
While some interpreted the outfit as a bold artistic statement, others criticised the moment as exploitative, accusing West of using Censori to attract attention. Censori appeared uneasy during the event, which drew immediate backlash from the public.

Despite the criticism, West defended the red-carpet moment on social media. “My wife’s first red carpet opened up a whole new world. He later referred to her outfit as the “greatest Grammy look of all time.”
In the days following the Grammys, West sparked more controversy with offensive public statements. He made inflammatory remarks online, expressing admiration for Hitler and aligning himself with Nazi ideology.
As outrage grew, West lashed out with a profanity-laced response, claiming he had authority over his wife but denying accusations of coercion. “I HAVE DOMINION OVER MY WIFE. THIS ISN’T SOME WOKE FEMINIST STUFF. SHE’S WITH A BILLIONAIRE. WHY WOULD SHE LISTEN TO ANY OF YOU BROKE IDIOTS?” he posted.
He also suggested the Grammy outfit was ultimately her decision, stating, “She doesn’t do anything she doesn’t want to, but none of it happens without my approval.”
Fans have expressed concerns about Censori’s frequent appearances in bold, revealing outfits since their marriage, as they believe she is under control. The Grammys incident only added to speculation that West has a dominating influence over her choices.
