SHEPHERD BUSHIRI|| This is not Magic, I worked for my Riches
Fugitive controversial Malawian cleric, Shepherd Bushiri, who is wanted in South Africa on multiple criminal charges, including fraudulent transactions, has come out in the open defending his riches.
The embattled pastor, who heads the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church, took to his handle on X (formerly Twitter) to explain that he worked for his wealth, with God blessing him.
The fugitive man-of-the-cloth is embroiled in serious legal woes and at one time, the City of Johannesburg moved to auction his properties in an effort to recoup more than R10 million owed to the metropolitan by the pastor.
And, amid the legal battles, Bushiri posted:
“When I was poor, they did not ask the source of my poverty. Now that I am blessed, they want to know the source of my money. Hypocrites, that picture can tell you why I got blessed. It’s not magic. We worked it up!”
