The University of Padua provides scholarships to exceptionally talented students from around the world who wish to enrol in an English-taught bachelor’s or master’s degree programme at the university.

These scholarships apply to Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs that are conducted in English at the University of Padua.

- 62 Padua International Excellence Scholarships
- 30 additional scholarships provided by various university departments
Target Audience
The scholarship is open to academically outstanding international students from any country.
Scholarship Benefits & Duration
Recipients of the scholarship will receive:
- A financial grant of €8,000 per academic year
- A full tuition fee waiver (except for the mandatory regional tax and administrative stamp duty)
The scholarship is valid for:
- A maximum of two consecutive years for master’s degree students
- Up to three consecutive years for Bachelor’s and Single Cycle degree students
Additional departmental scholarships are available, but these do not cover tuition fees. Specific details, including financial amounts and eligibility conditions, are provided in the official scholarship announcement.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Not hold Italian citizenship (except those with dual nationality, including Italian)
- Possess a foreign secondary school diploma (for Bachelor’s or Single Cycle degree applicants) or a non-Italian Bachelor’s degree (for Master’s degree applicants)
- Reside outside Italy
- Apply for up to three English-taught degree programmes at the University of Padua within the designated application deadlines.
Application Process
There is no separate application for the scholarship. Eligible students are automatically considered when they apply for their chosen degree programme. No additional documents are required beyond those needed for university admission.
Application Deadlines
- 7 April 2025 – Limited access programmes (only if scholarships were not assigned in the first round)
- 2 May 2025 – Open access programmes (only if scholarships remained unassigned after the first round, which closed on 2 February 2025 and 7 March 2025)
