Zimdancehall singer Enzo Ishall Contests ZANU PF Primary elections as MP
Zimdancehall artist Enzo Ishall is joining politics as he will be contesting for a seat in the ZANU PF primary elections.
The ZANU PF Primary Elections
The ruling party will hold its primary elections on Saturday, 23 March 2023, as people vie to represent ZANU PF in the upcoming 2023 Harmonised Elections on a date yet to be announced by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The primary elections were initially slated for 18 March but had to be postponed due to the overwhelming number of CVs submitted by aspiring candidates. On Saturday, the candidates will contest for Council, Parliament and Senate seats.
Celebrities Contest In The ZANU PF Primaries
About 2 858 candidates submitted their CVs, and Zimbabwean celebrities were not to be left out in the jostle for political positions.
Some celebrities contesting in the ZANU PF primary elections include Herentals FC player and owner Innocent Benza and musician Sandra Ndebele.
Zimdancehall musician Enzo Ishall, real name Kudzanai Mamhare, has thrown his hat into the ring and will contest for a seat in the ruling party’s internal elections. Enzo will be running in Sunningdale, where he was raised.

Enzo has never been one to shy away from his association with ZANU PF. He is usually invited to perform at the party’s rallies with producers DJ Fantan and Levels. In 2022, Enzo rocked the crowd in Epworth at ZANU PF’s by-elections campaign launch.
