Adela Contracting Company Denies Sewage Water Allegations

Adela Contracting Company has issued a statement clarifying issues after a video showing a woman accusing the company of supplying sewage water went viral.

In the video circulating on social media, an unidentified woman accused Adela Contracting (Private) Limited of extracting sewage water and supplying it to affluent suburbs for profit.

The woman recorded the company truck as it was pumping water in the bowser at Graystone Park.

Adela Contracting issues statement

In a statement, Adela Contracting Company dismissed the allegations and addressed the viral video in question.

They stated that Adela Contracting is a reputable plant-hire company that supplies and hires plant equipment.

Adela emphasized that they do not distribute water for purposes of profit to private individuals or corporates.

“We do not distribute water for purposes of profit to private individuals or corporates, and our company have never ventured in such business.”

On the day in question, Adela Contracting Company revealed that Runt Dutoit Property Developers had contracted them to supply plant equipment for road construction.

“Adela Contracting was contracted by Runt Dutoit Property Developers to supply plant and equipment for the purposes of road construction in the Kambanji area, Greystone Park, between Gaydon Drive and Maranzi.In the area in which the video was taken runs a stream of fresh water that crosses Outspan Drive.”

They further clarified that the water bowser caught on camera was draining water from the pool and that it was not sewage water.

“The water bowser captured in the video was draining water from the pool to enable further development of the road. The drained water was used for road compaction. We would like to emphasize that this water is NOT sewage water.”

Community Assurance: No Distribution to Residents

Adela Contracting emphasized that their truck pumped water in an area which does not have sewer lines. They also clarified that they did not sell the water which was collected to residents.

“Furthermore, the area itself does NOT have any sewer lines such that sewage water can be found in the locality. For emphasis, the water collected in the video was NOT distributed to residents or any person whatsoever outside the locality.”

 

 

Adela Contracting retaliated that it is not in the business of supplying water for profit or consumption in households.
