Glen View Man Faces Court for R@ping Son’s Wife

A 46-year-old man from Glen View was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly raping his 18-year-old daughter-in-law over five days.
The man, who has three sons and one daughter, is accused of taking advantage of his role in the family while his wife was unaware of the abuse.
Reports indicate that the man would enter the young woman’s sleeping area at night, as she rested in the dining room with her husband.
While her husband returned home late, the accused would sneak in, handcuff her, and cover her mouth with tape before assaulting her. He allegedly threatened to harm her five-month-old child if she reported the incidents.

Police say the victim could not fight back due to being restrained. She eventually found a moment to escape and told her mother about the abuse. The family then reported the matter to the authorities, leading to the man’s arrest.
Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, a police spokesperson, confirmed the arrest and shared details of the case.
He stated that the accused attacked the victim on March 18, slapping her when she realised he was not her husband, then handcuffing and assaulting her.
The victim was taken to the Family Support Clinic for a medical examination after confiding in her mother. Investigations are still ongoing, and police are looking into how the man acquired the handcuffs.
The man is set to appear in court facing multiple charges, including rape and assault.
