Prophet Makandiwa warns President Mnangagwa against making life difficult for Zimbabweans

Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, the founder of United Family International Church (UFIC), has advised President Emmerson Mnangagwa not to make life more difficult for regular Zimbabweans who are just trying to make ends meet.

Makandiwa’s caution follows Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube’s announcement of the 2024 national budget, which has drawn criticism for being perceived as “anti-people.”

Many people were unhappy with the budget because it incorporated several new levies, such as a wealth tax and a sugar tax.

Makandiwa recently urged his disciples to start their businesses to provide for their families. When the government imposes unfavourable regulations that impede their ability to operate, he advises them to speak out.

Emmanuel Makandiwa went on to announce that he plans to have a candid conversation with President Mnangagwa, cautioning him that persisting with policies that make life difficult for Zimbabweans may lead to a dire prophecy. He urged the Zanu PF government to allow its citizens to take care of their families.

“Vanopopota vachipopota. Vanotaura vachitaura. Endai munoita mari. Itai mari. Pamunenge maita matambudziko muchiomeserwa nehurumende musavhare muromo, taurai. Mundiudza ndonovaudza ava kuti ‘mukaramba muchidai tinopa chimwe chiporofita futi. Tinopa chimwe chiporofita. Regedzai vanhu vasimuke. Vanhu vakomborerwe. Vanhu vachengete mhuri dzavo’,” Emmanuel Makandiwa declared to deafening cheers.

Makandiwa then motivated his congregation to persevere in their financial pursuits and declared that God is actively working in Zimbabwe.

“Handei tinonamata tichishanda. Vamwe venyu munyama wamuinawo ndewekuti magarisa munyika imwe chete. Hamuna kumbofamba nyika dzevamwe. Zvirikuitika munyika muno hazvisi kuitika kune dzimwe nyika. Maitwa sei imi? God is at work in this country,” Makandiwa said.
