In an exclusive report by CNN, a surveillance video from 2016 has surfaced showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs engaging in a violent altercation with his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. This incident correlates with allegations presented in a federal lawsuit filed by Ventura in November, which has since been settled.
In the footage, Ventura leaves a hotel room and walks toward an elevator. Combs, clad only in a towel, follows her down the hallway, grabs her by the neck, throws her to the ground, and kicks her while maintaining his hold on the towel.
As Ventura lies on the floor, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from near the elevators and kicks her again. He then drags her by her sweatshirt before walking away. Ventura is later seen slowly getting up, gathering her belongings, and moving towards a phone on the hallway wall.
Combs returns, still in a towel and socks, and appears to shove Ventura. He then sits down, picks up an object, and forcefully throws it at her. He walks away but turns back toward Ventura as an elevator door opens, and someone steps out.
Cassie Ventura has reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs and has declined to comment on the video. Her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor, expressed that the footage corroborates the disturbing behaviour detailed in Ventura’s complaint. He praised Ventura’s bravery in bringing the issue to light.

Representatives for Combs have been contacted by CNN but have not yet provided a comment. Combs has previously denied Ventura’s allegations. The mogul made a statement on social media accusing his ex-girlfriend of trying to extort him with false allegations.
When reached for a statement, a representative for InterContinental Hotels noted, “This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.”
