Forit Construction Neglects Workers’ Salaries, Splashes USD10 Million on Equipment
Despite USD80 Million Payout from Mimosa Mine, Employees Left Unpaid for 5 Months as Funds Fuel Executive Luxuries and New Machinery

Top civil engineering and construction company Forit Contracting has gone five months without paying employees’ salaries, despite an USD80 million payout from a client, this publication can report.
After an outcry by employees, this publication conducted investigations and established that Forit was contracted to build tailings dams at Mimosa Mine and invoiced USD80 million last year.
Instead of covering the wage bill, the contractor was reportedly paid USD20 million by Mimosa upon completion of the project but prioritized purchasing executives’ vehicles and equipment worth USD10 million.

“Mimosa paid USD80 million upon completion of the project, but management prioritized purchasing machinery over paying salaries for more than four months. They also expanded the luxurious fleet for management. Consequently, some workers who had the privilege of using company cars refused to surrender the vehicles,” said an impeccable source.
Forit has a proven track record of delivering remarkable national projects, but this legacy is now teetering on the brink of collapse due to recent management practices.
Efforts to obtain an official comment from company director Itai Madziyire proved fruitless, as his mobile phone was unavailable at the time of writing.
