Why Shadaya ‘Humiliated’ Ollah 7
Popular social media influencer Shadaya Knight snubbed an interview with Award-winning broadcaster and radio host DJ Ollah 7 slated for Tuesday at Star FM studios and the host has explained why.
Shadaya was supposed to make a ‘huge’ appearance for a drive-time show, On The Spot at the Harare-based radio station, hosted by DJ Ollah 7, born Owen Madondo.
DJ Ollah 7 publicised the guest appearance but unfortunately, something came up.
As one of the best-known individuals on Zimbabwean social media, the announcement sparked a lot of attention online. Shadaya is unknown for stirring up controversy online with his anti-feminist stances and what appear to be chauvinistic views.
Shadaya criticised DJ Ollah’s show on social media in January, claiming that only “dubious celebs” and controversial public personalities were invited. People felt he would never visit Star FM for an interview as a result.
Thus, the ZimPapers broadcaster’s announcement yesterday came as a surprise, prompting some to wonder why he is now so eager to be On The Spot given his critical opinions of the programme.
Shadaya stated in a comment on one of the articles from yesterday that he will explain later but would not be attending the interview.
Why Shadaya Won’t Be On Star FM
Later, the Star FM deejay took to Twitter to shed more light on why the sit-down with the “Alpha”.
He tweeted:
“@Shadaya_Knight got in touch with me hours ago telling me that he won’t make it to the show tomorrow because they have another show they did which is scheduled to be aired tomorrow with another team.
“When he first approached me last week asking for this interview, he assured me that he will definitely come to the show despite his recent criticism about my show.
“So I understand that if he comes tomorrow, my show might overshadow the other one they did. I will keep you posted, but definitely I will give you a very interesting guest.”
Shadaya will be appearing on The Denny J Show for an interview to be premiered today on YouTube in celebration of reaching the 50th episode milestone.
