Ngizwe Mchunu ‘Assaulted’ During Press Conference, Opens Case Against EFF Members

Former Ukhozi FM presenter Ngizwe Mchunu has opened a case of assault against three men who attacked him during a press conference in Durban.

The attack occurred when Mchunu was holding a briefing at a different location after he was unable to secure Moses Mabhida Stadium.

In a video, men can be seen vandalizing equipment, and Mchunu remains composed before retaliating with a slap. The attackers, identified as EFF members from the eThekwini branch, reportedly stole cellphones during the incident.

Mchunu has been at odds with the EFF, leading to the motor company JAC Motors relieving him of his ambassadorial role.
