Just In: Robert Mugabe Jnr Freed!

Robert Mugabe Junior has reportedly been set free by the National Prosecuting authority to allow for the two to negotiate on possible compensation since they are friends.

Robert was arrested after a case was opened by his friend Nkatazo Sindiso (31) for USD12000 worth of damages to his property by the former.

Allegations are that Robert Mugabe Jnr went on a rampage during a party in Avondale where he trashed vehicles and other property.

ZRP Public relations officer Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed that Robert Jnr is being charged with malicious damage to property allegations.

“The Zimbabwe Republic police confirms that Robert Tinotenda Mugabe (junior) (31) has been arrested on Malicious Damage of property allegations after a complaint by his friend Nkatazo Sindiso (31) that he destroyed property worth USD12000 at house number 3A Verdi Lane in Strathaven, Harare.”

The former late president of Zimbabwe’s son was held overnight at Avondale police station.

He appeared in court today where he was let out for the two parties to negotiate.

The charges have not yet been withdrawn.

Robert Mugabe Jnr is not new to controvesy.

In October 2022, a video of Robert Mugabe Jr. arguing angrily with Bertha—a girl who was refusing to get dressed and leave his house—made the rounds on social media. Following their one-night stand, Bertha demanded that the Mugabe heir pay her US$50 first.

Grace Mugabe, who was first lady at the time, angered South Africans in 2017 when she discovered Robert Jr. and Chatunga in their rented Sandton apartment and severely beat model Gabriella Engels with an electrical extension cord. After being granted diplomatic immunity by the South African government, she fled the country.

Since their father left the presidency in 2017 and died in 2019, Robert Mugabe Jr and Chatunga lowered their partying habits.
