A nine-year-old girl died at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals on March 25 after being attacked by a pit bull while passing by a house in Whitecliff, Harare.
She initially suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital before succumbing to them.
Police said they were looking into the incident.
Meanwhile, police in Maphisa, Matabeleland South, are investigating a murder case in which a 68-year-old man was killed by two men who accused him of having an affair with one of the men’s wives.
Robert Maphosa was accused of having an affair with Nyathi’s wife by members Nyathi, 62, and Bruce Ngwenya, 22.
The duo allegedly struck the now-deceased with an axe.
The two buried Maphosa’s body in a sorghum field to conceal their offence.
