Julius Malema has been blasted for not only his participation at the Hollywoodbets Durban July event but also for wearing an R2 million watch.
Over the weekend, the EFF leader and his partner were guests at the Opulent Experience Marquee at the race day celebration.
However, detractors on Twitter are labelling the outspoken lawmaker a “hypocrite.”

Julius Malema was pictured at the Hollywoodbets Durban July sporting a stylish black suit and a big bow tie. He added a high-end watch for a dash of extravagance.
Nevertheless, a Twitter user who was there at the great racing event took issue with the politician’s display of riches.
“Julius Malema’s yearly salary is about R1.3 million,” tweeted user @goolammv. Malema wore a watch at the Durban July that was estimated to be worth R2 million. Malema’s parliament statement makes it clear that his lifestyle is supported by money that was taken from the VBS, Jhb Metro, and cigarette smuggling mafias.

After Malema slammed ANC secretary-general Fikile Mbalula for wearing a similarly pricey watch, the tweep labelled Malema a “hypocrite” and accused him of being insincere.
The tweep continued: “When it was alleged that Fikile Mbalula was wearing an expensive watch, The EFF mob was jumping over each other to attack Mbalula. Calling him a puppet of Rupert and the West. Today when it’s Malema, they have a completely different take. BLOODY HYPOCRITES”.
The tweet received hundreds of likes and shares, with many Twitter users expressing similar sentiments.
WIFE MANTWA TURNS HEADS TOO
Meanwhile, Julius Malema’s wife Mantwa Matlala also turned heads with her elegant appearance at the Hollywoodbets Durban July.
In a Twitter post, Julius Malema showed off a pic of him and his beautiful wife, Mantwa.

In the pic, Mantwa wore an off-shoulder white gown adorned with pearls and beads. The mom-of-two styled her in a chic updo and wore bold red lipstick.
