Lion King producer Lebohang Morake, widely and affectionally known as Lebo M, is headed for divorce court after a fifth failed marriage.
Morake released a statement that he will proceed with divorce proceedings against his estranged wife Pretty Samuels-Morak.
In a statement shared by his management on Tuesday, the composer will not be responding to speculation about the reasons that led to the breakdown of the marriage.
This, he said, is because he regards the matter as private and personal.
“I will not be drawn into salacious allegations and innuendos about my business and personal life,” said Morake.
“I will be going ahead with the divorce and have already instructed my attorneys.”
He went on and gave clarity to the reasons why he is doing this.
Accoring to him, his wife was left in the care of his businesses while he was on tour in Europe and therefore she was in possession of his electronic signature.
This allowed her to sign documents on his behalf and upon his return he made her delete the signature to which she reluctantly did.
The matter got heated when he made another request and this time the marriage was destroyed.
In another statement shared on social media, Morake says that they are divorcing because his wife refused to sign an affidavit
“Lebo M further requested Samuels-Morake to sign another affidavit, stating that there are no policies she is aware of and he is not that would be effected upon his death, which she and others would be beneficiaries of.”, he wrote in a statement.
This request she reportedly refused to sign thereby placing Lebo “in a position of great discomfort, and I fear for my life and that of my children.”
He says that he is worried about why his estranged wife refused to sign the second affidavit.
