Holy Ten stirs controversy after endorsing president Mnangagwa

Award-winning Zimbabwean Hip Hop artist, Holy Ten has raffled some feathers after openly endorsing President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF ahead of the 2023 elections.

In a viral video alongside his protege Michael Magz from Samanyanga Sounds, the pair shocked some people when they shared their political views.

Holy Ten enthusiastically urges his fellow Zimbabweans to support President Mnangagwa for a second term while wearing a jersey with the brilliant colours of the country’s flag.

The rapper commends the President for his outstanding efforts to advance infrastructure improvement around the country. He recalls being impressed by the remarkable transformation seen at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport and the Beitbridge border post.

“Hoyooo. Holy Ten leader of the youth, speaker of the truth and I’m proud of my country Zimbabwe. Over the weekend tanga tiri ku Beitbridgewe have seen the development that is being done at the border post. Totally out of this world. We have been in and out of the airport, things are changing,” Holy Ten says in the video.

Holy Ten praised the Zanu-PF administration for dedicating cash to address the critical problem of young drug misuse as another benefit of their rule. He applauded the government’s commitment to encouraging good change for the next generation.

“I want to tell you something. There has money that has been availed under the drug and substance abuse mitigation fund. So this is for the youth. This is the change. So we wanna thank the comrade himself, President Emmerson Mnangagwa. We are supporting you, we are with you, the President for the people,” Holy Ten proclaimed, as Michael Magz, donning a jacket that proudly displayed ‘ZANU PF Huchi’ at the back, wrapped up the endorsement video with a spirited “huchi” chant.

Lol. Isn’t this the democracy that you want people to practice? Shouldn’t people be free to associate with what and whom they want without being insulted? How do we say we are promoting democracy yet we insult each other over political choices ??
