Seven fuel tankers, buses explode in Willowvale

A massive explosion rocked one of the fuel industries in Willowvale, Harare in a fire that consumed seven vehicles including fuel tankers and Power Coaches buses on Tuesday night.

The incident sent shockwaves into the nearby Highfield suburb sending some residents scurrying for cover and leading to a traffic jam stretching for kilometres.

“We thought it was a bomb explosion”, one of the residents in Western Triangle said.

A huge crowd of people gathered to witness the devastating explosion as they helplessly watched

It is not yet clear what caused the explosion and there have not been reports of any casualties yet as authorities carry out their investigation.
