President Mnangagwa forced back to Harare following bomb scare at Vic Falls airport
President Emmerson Mnangagwa was forced to return to Harare after a plane he was in could not land at Victoria Falls International Airport following a reported bomb scare on Friday.
Sources say a Kenyan Airways flight from Nairobi was forced to hold for several minutes before diverting to Livingstone in Zambia and President Mnangagwa’s Falcon 7X was forced to return to Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport.

President Mnangagwa was due to attend the closing ceremony of the International Renewable Energy Conference Expo 2024.
It has not yet been established if the bomb was real or a hoax.
Bomb Scare at Victoria Falls International Airport
According to reports, the airport received a call claiming there was a bomb at the airport just minutes before President Mnangagwa was due to land.
His flight had to return to Harare amidst the chaos.
An Air Zimbabwe plane on the tarmac at Victoria Falls International Airport and passengers were not allowed to disembark as authorities investigated reports of a bomb.
