Tragedy struck in Mabvuku when a truck collided with a commuter omnibus leaving five people dead.
The road traffic accident happened at Donnybrook Road, Chizhanje area, Mabvuku, yesterday evening.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police has finally confirmed the tragic incident on their official social media handle.
According to a police statement, a lorry was involved in a head-on collision with a commuter omnibus. Subsequently, another commuter omnibus also rammed onto the back of the first commuter omnibus.
Unfortunately, five people died on the spot while several others were injured.
The tragic accident has got social media buzzing with mixed reactions. Netizens passed their condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the accident. Some social media users have however come out to blame commuter omnibus drivers for reckless driving.
