Two Trucks Collide, Killing Three

GWERU –Three people were killed and three others were injured when their Ashok Leyland truck collided with the trailer of a haulage truck travelling in the opposite direction at the 382km peg along the Harare-Bulawayo highway early Saturday morning.
The vehicle carrying six passengers was heading towards Bulawayo, while the haulage truck carrying no passengers was heading in the opposite direction.

The deceased’s bodies were taken to United Bulawayo Hospital for post-mortem examination, while the injured were taken to Mpilo Hospital.
The incident was confirmed by police.
Meanwhile, Franco Mahachi (50) was detained by Norton police on October 12th for a murder case in which he is accused of killing Kashon Musamanja (38) after discovering him in his girlfriend’s room in Katanga on December 9th at 2200 hours.
