Patient tries to kill herself at Parirenyatwa {Watch} A saddening report has emerged that a female patient attempted suicide this morning at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare.
The yet-to-be-identified woman reportedly wanted to jump from the hospital’s second floor.
She was apparently wrapped in hospital bed sheets.
While the exact cause of her actions is unknown, suicides are becoming more common in Zimbabwe.

In a similar incident, a distressed man survived a suicide attempt by jumping from the top of Tanganyika Building on 3rd Street and Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Harare on Tuesday.
The man, identified as Mugove Chizutu was lucky to survive the jump from the 8th floor.
The impact was absorbed by the roofing of a small building structure below, which broke the man’s fall. Firefighters rescued the man, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition but alive.
The police are encouraging the public to confide in their loved ones and seek assistance in difficult times like this. Suicide should never be normalised or viewed as a viable solution.
