Makhadzi Officially Dumps Open Mic Productions

Multi-award-winning singer Ndivhudzannyi “Makhadzi” Larivhona has officially parted ways with Open Mic Productions after three years, she revealed in a statement.

The development comes after much media speculation.

According to Makhadzi, she decided not to renew her contract after a successful and fruitful working relationship.

In a media statement seen by Harare Live, Makhadzi said her relationship with Open Mic Productions was a “match made in heaven”.

Makhadzi managed to belt out four albums during the course of their engagement, ‘Kokovha, African Queen, African Queen 2.0 and Pain ya Jealous.

Makhadzi also reveals that Open Mic made it possible for him to tour the world.

“I travelled the world which was made possible by my relationship with Open Mic Productions. I performed in countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Nigeria, Senegal, all SADC countries and many other countries across the globe,” she stated.

The singer gratefully acknowledged the role played by Open Mic Productions in elevating her career and also the awards she got.

She has set up her own music company ‘Makhadzi Entertainment’.

“I have taken a decision not to renew my contract with Open Mic Productions so I can focus on my own company ‘Makhadzi Entertainment’ and other business ventures.

It seems she is preparing for her future after music and fame as she hinted at wanting to leave a legacy “fo my family and those who depend on me.”

She has also notified the press that Open Mic Productions will no longer be handling her bookings and other relatable matters.
