Adulting star Londeka Sishi shares how she survived suicide attempt

Adulting actress Londeka Sishi has opened up about her struggles with feeling unworthy to be alive, depressed, and unloved and how she wanted to end it all by committing suicide because she had lost her purpose of living.

SAVED BY HER PREGNANCY

Before she was approached by Showmax, she had given up on her dream of becoming an actress because all the doors she knocked on were shut in her face.

“I remember that falling pregnant is the only thing that stopped me from killing myself. Before my daughter Liyana, who is now 5 years old, my life was not worth living,” she said.

Asked where she draws strength from, Londeka Sishi says she has learned not to take people’s issues and make them hers.

“Apart from my child being my strength, I have also learned not to take things personally and get worked out by small things,” Sishi adds.

“There is also healing in praying and meditating especially when one feels overwhelmed by things. Growth also comes in different ways. In most cases, we turn to rush God’s process instead of believing in God’s word. I am a firm believer and am more optimistic and positive when it comes to life,” she adds.

WORKING WITH THEMBINKOSI MTHEMBU

Londeka Sishi excitedly spoke about working alongside Thembinkosi Mthembu, who plays Bonga in the drama series. She says she has had a crush on the man who played her love interest in the series. “The crush is gone now, we are all good. He has and continues to teach me a lot about the industry.” When questioned about famous DJs in her DMs, Londeka laughed and hinted that fame has brought a lot of attention to her from other male celebrities.
