With the help of a new feature, WhatsApp now lets users control who can view their shared status updates.
Along with a number of other innovations, the business this week unveiled the new functionalities.
The business stated in a blog:
Selecting Private Audiences
Not every status you update will be appropriate for all of your contacts. We’re giving you the freedom to modify your privacy settings for each status so you can decide who sees it when you update it.
The default audience for your next status will be determined by your most recent choice, which will be stored.
One of WhatsApp’s most used features is the ability to share status updates. After a day, the status is gone. Among other formats, people can share text, links, movies, and images.
WhatsApp is by far the most used smartphone app in Zimbabwe. Opera, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, ShareIt, and Bible apps are a few other well-known mobile applications.
introduced some new WhatsApp features
Up to 30 second voice messages can now be recorded and shared on WhatsApp status. Voice status can be utilized to send more intimate updates, especially if speaking is a more natural way for you to communicate than typing.
To give you a quick and simple method to respond to status updates from your friends and close contacts, we are implementing status reactions. Following the debut of Reactions last year, this was the most requested feature by users. By swiping up and tapping one of the eight emojis, you may now swiftly respond to any status. Of course, you may still respond to a status through text, voicemail, stickers, and other methods.
Rings for New Updates on the Status Profile
You won’t ever miss a status update from a loved one with the new status profile ring. Every time your contact posts a status update, this ring will be visible around their profile picture. The chat lists, participant lists for groups, and contact information will all show it.
Status Link Previews
Now, much like when you send a message, you’ll automatically see a visual preview of the link content when you publish it to your status. Visual previews enhance the appearance of your status updates and help your contacts understand the link before clicking.
