AKA Allegedly Killed Nellie Tembe: Leaked Court Documents Reveal

A leaked letter from the Tembe family to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA)accuse rapper, Kiernan “AKA“ Forbes, of pushing or throwing Anele “Nellie” Tembe off the balcony of their hotel room at the Pepper Club hotel in Cape Town two years ago.

These claims were put forward in a petition written by the family‘s lawyers, TM Incorporated Attorneys, to the NPA in the Western Cape after the decision was made to not prosecute the rapper following a thorough investigation into Anele’s death in June last year.

The letter, which was written in a plea to reverse their initial decision, contains evidence that the Tembes believe was overlooked during the investigation. This includes a statement from a receptionist at the hotel, video footage of Anele‘s fall, a statement from a witness, Rob Stefanutto, who heard an argument between the rapper and his fiancé before her death, as well as evidence of an assault on Anele before her fall.

The Tembes also point out the discrepancies between the call AKA made to the reception and the time that Anele fell as seen in the video footage, as well as the fact that she landed five and a half meters away from the building, which they suggest is indicative of her being pushed or thrown.

Part of the letter reads:

The deceased landed at a distance that is consistent with a person that was pushed. She landed approximately five and a half meters away from the building, whereas if she had jumped on her own, she would have landed approximately two meters away from the building

Further, they allege that the rapper neglected to attend to the injured Nellie, only twenty minutes after her fall, opting to instead clean the hotel room and party with his entourage.

Kiernan “AKA“ Forbes tragically passed away last Friday evening in a fatal shooting that also resulted in the death of his lifelong friend, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

A memorial service will be held for the rapper at the Sandton Convention Centre today, with his funeral being held privately on Saturday.
