A 24-year-old man identified as Trevor Chizanga shockingly committed suicide at his lover’s rented home in Whitehouse.
Before making the sad decision, Trevor ingested rat poison and left behind a heartbreaking suicide note in which he accused Shuvai Rutombo, the sister of his girlfriend, of enticing him into an illicit relationship.
A close source claimed that Maria, Trevor’s lover, had left the house with her married lover for a vacation, leaving Trevor and Shuvai home alone. Shuvai told Trevor about the relationship at this time, which had a number of disastrous effects.
“Trevor loved Maria so much that he bought all the furniture in her house. He was deeply invested in their relationship. But then, Shuvai seduced him and later demanded money, threatening to expose their secret to her sister,” a source revealed to H-Metro.
Shuvai’s actions took a toll on Trevor’s emotional well-being, leading him to write a suicide note in which he blamed her for his despair.
The note also expressed his anguish over Maria’s infidelity with a married man, after he had spent his hard-earned money on her.
“She then squealed at Maria, hoping that Trevor would dump her, but he could not stomach it. His suicide note blamed Shuvai. He was affected by the fact that Maria was cheating on him with a married man after squandering his money,” the source further explained.
Trevor’s father, Ophias Chizanga, confirmed the existence of his son’s suicide note but directed inquiries to Maria and the police for further details.
Maria, devastated by the tragic turn of events, shared her side of the story, expressing her love for Trevor and her confusion over his actions.
“I had been in love with Trevor for the past five months. He never phoned to tell me what was troubling him to the extent of taking his life. I do not want to say much because I am in pain,” Maria shared.
