ZANU OF MP Hamadziripi dies on his way to Independence celebrations

On a sad note, ZANU PF Mberengwa East Member of Parliament Hamadziripi Dube, along with two other passengers, unfortunately, died yesterday in a car accident while travelling for the Independence Day celebrations.

According to reports, a Ford Ranger double cab carrying passengers veered off the road, overturned and ultimately landed on its side near Kadoma. The incident led to the loss of three lives and one person was injured. The injured person was rushed to Kadoma General Hospital for treatment. The other three were sent to the same hospital for autopsy.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police stated the accident:

 

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road accident that occurred on the 166 kilometer stretch of the Harare-Bulawayo highway on 18/04/24 at around 11:00 am. “Three people lost their lives in the incident and one was injured.”

According to the statement, the Ford Ranger double cab, which was carrying three passengers, left the road, overturned and stopped.

The bodies of the victims were taken to the Kadoma General Hospital mortuary for autopsy, while the injured are admitted to the same hospital.

It has been confirmed that among the victims was the esteemed MP for Mberengwa East, Hamadziripi Dube. The occupants of the vehicle were reportedly on their way to the Independence Day celebrations on the day of the tragic incident.
