After efforts to get the balance from the singer failed, the car dealer complained to the police and Portable was subsequently arrested.

The spokesperson for the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to SaharaReporters on Tuesday evening, saying, “I can confirm that. He was arrested for the failure to pay the debt he owed, that is his G-Wagon. He deliberately refused to pay the balance. And that is up to N14 million.”

The musician had to be dragged into a police van after he attempted to evade arrest. Videos circulating online show the singer jumping over the gate only to be apprehended and dragged into a police vehicle.
