King Misuzulu’s Marriage To Queen Ntokozo Crashes

The marriage of Zulu King Misuzulu kaZwelithini and his first wife Queen Ntokozo Mayisela-Zulu has reportedly become more troubled since she moved out of the Khangelamankengane Royal Palace in KwaNongoma, KwaZulu-Natal, in October 2022.

Queen Ntokozo allegedly moved out shortly after King Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s coronation last year owing to trust challenges. The King and Queen were reported to have married in a traditional ceremony in Newcastle in 2021. It’s said that the Zulu Queen had had enough of her husband leaving her alone in the palace.

According to sources, the Queen was recently sighted in Umhlanga with the prince, and no one would have guessed they were royals because they were not escorted by any security, which is unusual in the royal family.

“Queen Mayisela decided to go back to her old life after she realised that she meant nothing to the King. The King went as far as stripping her off the bodyguards as she had her own bodyguards that looked after her and their child,” the mole said.

“Recently I met her in Umhlanga with the king’s child and there were no bodyguards and they were just like other normal people. This is the first time that the wife of a king can walk in public with their young child without bodyguards. It’s sad,” the mole added.

Earlier this year, Queen KaMayisela was interviewed on Sunday World and reportedly said she hasn’t seen peace in her marriage since she married the King. She denied that any of the rumours against her and her “troubled” marriage were true and reportedly suspects that someone is maliciously trying to destroy her.

“I am at my house at Pongola. I am at my home and I have never left. I have seen everything that has been written about me and I am shocked about my name being dragged,” she was quoted as saying.

She was said to have declined to comment when asked about the allegations that the King was involved in a romantic relationship with gender-based-violence (GBV) and children’s rights activist, Sihle Sibisi. According to Kaya FM, an audio recording previously trended after it was leaked where Sibisi alleged that the Zulu King had threatened to kill her.
