Pirates, Chiefs Lose Out On Star Player

Recently, Bathusi Aubaas put on an impressive performance for Bafana Bafana, leading them to a significant victory over Morocco. Despite being linked with both Pirates and Chiefs teams, Aubaas was listed as a Pirates player before his Bafana Bafana debut, but this was quickly corrected as an error.

While there have been no official reports of Aubaas joining Pirates, his agent Basia Michaels has confirmed that there is interest in the 28-year-old midfielder.

“I can comfortably tell you there has been interest in Bathusi and I have shared it with him and the President of TS Galaxy [Tim Sukazi] but nothing has been presented in black and white,” Michaels told GOAL. “He remains a Galaxy player until such a time that a deal is done with the approval of Bathusi and his current club.”

According to the latest report from SABC Sport, though, Sundowns and TS Galaxy have apparently “agreed to a deal in principle” for the transfer of the Bafana Bafana midfielder.

TS Galaxy were have said to have placed a high value on the talented playmaker, but Sundowns believe he would be a good fit to further bolster their midfield stocks, with a deal now at an advanced stage of negotiations.
