Senzo Meyiwa’s Friend Tumelo Madlala Throws Kelly Khumalo Under The Bus

Senzo Meyiwa’s childhood friend, Tumelo Madlala, has expressed scepticism over Kelly Khumalo’s statement made in the wake of the football player’s unfortunate death.

At the time of Senzo Meyiwa’s murder in 2014, Kelly Khumalo, who was dating him, provided the police with an in-depth statement, which Madlala has fiercely criticised.

This week, Tumelo Madlala testified in court and refuted Kelly Khumalo’s account of what happened, especially the portion when she said Meyiwa was “gushing” blood.

According to Madlala, there was only a small amount of blood on Meyiwa’s chest, contradicting Kelly Khumalo’s statement. Defence lawyer Zithulele Nxumalo read Kelly Khumalo’s statement to highlight the disparities between her testimony and Tumelo Madlala’s account.

Call for Kelly Khumalo to Explain Her Statement in Court

Expressing his disbelief, Madlala called for Kelly Khumalo to appear in court and clarify her statement. He stated that he does not recall seeing the significant amount of blood described by Khumalo, emphasizing that he only saw spots of blood, not large quantities.

According to Kaya959, Tumelo Madlala expressed his desire for Kelly Khumalo’s statement to be dismissed and for her to explain the discrepancies.

“I want her to come to court and explain for herself. I don’t remember seeing blood gushing out like she says she saw. I saw spots of blood, not gallons.

I want this statement to be set aside and for the author of the statement to come to court and explain the nonsense that’s written here.”

In the ongoing trial surrounding Senzo Meyiwa’s murder, Tumelo Madlala’s testimony has cast doubt on the accuracy of Kelly Khumalo’s statement. The conflicting accounts and allegations of over-embellishment have added another layer of complexity to the case, raising questions about the events that unfolded on that fateful day in 2014.
