Watch: Moment AKA Was Shot In The Head At Close Range

CCTV footage of the moment South African rapper AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – was murdered outside a Florida Road hotspot has been released, and it’s gruesome!

The graphic clip was leaked on social media and is topping the trends list.

AKA – real name Kiernan Forbes – was shot and killed outside a restaurant on Durban’s Florida Road on Friday evening. His death comes almost two years after Nelli allegedly ended her life after falling off the balcony of a Cape Town hotel in April 2021.

In the clip – reportedly filmed by a police officer – AKA is seen exiting Wish restaurant on Florida Road while seemingly saying goodbye to his group of friends.

Included in the group is his best friend, Tebello Tibz Motsoane, who was also shot and killed.

The viral video sees AKA and Tibz embrace before an unknown man walks up to the hitmaker and shoots him in the back of his head. The rapper immediately slumps to the floor in a pool of blood. Tibz also falls to the floor, seemingly injured in the crossfire. AKA’s group of friends also quickly disperse following the shooting.

The gunman, seemingly joined by another, escaped on foot.

But the video has raised many questions about who the gunman was and who allegedly “tipped” him off of AKA’s exact location.

Meanwhile, Wish on Florida Road has issued a statement on AKA’s death. The hotspot – where the rapper had his final meal – revealed their plans to fully cooperate with law enforcement on the murder investigations.

The restaurant also revealed that it would remain closed until further notice.

On Saturday, the rapper’s brother, father, and management team members were seen leaving wreaths and flowers at the scene where he died.
